What is a Reflective Log and how to use it.

reflective LogA few of my clients do not understand what or how a reflective log works. A reflective log is a bit like the homework that you did when you were at school. I’m sure you remember at times having to sit down and do your homework. where you might have had to copy some text out of a book or write up an experiment for your teacher.

I remember hating some of my homework especially as my parents forced me to do it before I was allowed to watch television or go out to play. Some of my students seem to be luck because they say they do not have to do homework  🙄

A Reflective Log is a bit like homework the idea is that you write down what you plan to do on a driving lesson. Then what you did on the lesson and then what you are planning to do on a lesson. This might seem very tedious and you might think why do I have to do this. The reason for doing this is that it helps your brain remember what you did and what you want to do. The act of thinking about what you did helps you remember and helps can make the task of Learning to drive quicker.
